I have a room that I want to convert into a bathroom. I’ve already experimented a bit with arranging the sanitary fixtures in a 3D program. I’m usually very uncreative with this kind of stuff. Maybe you have some ideas?
I tried using a T-wall to position the bathtub more in the middle of the room, which would create good space for some storage. But then the access to the toilet becomes quite narrow. Another option could be to place the bathtub by the window in the left corner and put the washbasin in front of the T-wall.
General requirements for the bathroom:
Do you have any great ideas? Things to consider?
Is it a bad idea to put a walk-in shower in front of a floor-to-ceiling window?
Of course, privacy would need to be ensured. Otherwise, I think the idea of natural light in the shower is quite nice. Does anyone have something like this and can share their experience?

General requirements for the bathroom:
- Large walk-in shower without glass
- Bathtub with a view of the window
- Bathtub positioned so it doesn’t face the toilet
- Longer washbasin (not 100% fixed, at least 80cm (30 inches), preferably more for double sinks)
- Corner bathtub or, if straight, with larger shelves around it (for decoration / candles)
- Space for one shelf for towels (lowboard or tall shelf doesn’t matter)

The same, just with the T/L switched? Personally, I wouldn’t want to face a wall… but here it’s about 60cm (24 inches). The bathroom space is generally oriented with this T/L towards the door. I don’t think it creates a comfortable atmosphere.

The same, just the T/L switched? Something like that. As I outlined in post 31. The toilet requires less space than the shower, so the washbasin can be moved further towards the bottom of the plan, which makes the passage between the washbasin and the bathtub wider.

Personally, I wouldn’t feel comfortable facing a wall… but here it is at about 60cm (24 inches)… The bathroom space is generally laid out with this T-shaped layout facing the door. I think it lacks a cozy or welcoming feel. And now move the washbasin even further down according to the plan 😉

I quite like it, I think it would work. I just tried it out quickly in 3D.How wide is the bathtub compared to the shower? I would make the shower a bit narrower, wouldn’t you?I’ve made more progress because I find it off to have it like that. Even if you manage to gain an extra 10cm (4 inches), you end up with the door right behind you. If anyone prefers that, please let me know. So far, I have arranged all my rooms, including at work, so that where you spend time and not just take a short break (guest WC), the view faces the door.
