ᐅ What is the cost of a glass patio roof?

So far, I have only received one offer and was shocked:
Aluminum rods, clear glass roof 10mm (0.4 inches) thick (you can walk on it!), about 2m x 5m (6.5 feet x 16.5 feet), cost around 10,000.
Is this realistic?

Of course, a plastic roof is much cheaper, but I’m afraid it will become dirty and opaque after a few years.
What is your opinion?

Thanks,

Alberto
PS Sorry for my poor German; it is not my native language...

We have an aluminum patio roof with laminated safety glass (VSG), measuring 4m x 3m (13ft x 10ft), including an electric under-roof awning and installation for 5300.-€

Oh, and LED lighting is included as well.

Our conservatory (built last year) measures 6x4m (20x13 feet) and includes an electric under-roof awning as well as a vertical awning along the 4m (13 feet) side. The total cost was around €15,000, including installation, foundation, and building permit / planning permission.

Please send the supplier details. Thanks

Probably not very helpful, as it’s hard to compare:

Elevated veranda (approx. 1.20 m (4 feet) above ground level) measuring 7 x 5 m (23 x 16 feet) including the roof structure: 4,500 gross
Glazing including installation for it: 4,900 gross

I have excluded the railing, stairs, and decking.

Our canopy measures 5x4 meters (16.4x13.1 feet). The vertical awning is 5 meters (16.4 feet) wide. Under-roof awning – both from Weinor, with LED spotlights and infrared heating, aluminum frame, and 8mm (0.3 inch) VSG glass, including concrete foundations and installation for €15,000. We have a cantilevered canopy.
The contractor for us was Holda Bau. It has been standing since last year. So far, we are very satisfied.

It’s similar for us: an aluminum structure measuring 6.5m x 4m (21 ft 4 in x 13 ft 1 in) with a Weinor under-glass awning and three vertical awnings (2 x 3m (10 ft) for the front and 1 x 4m (13 ft 1 in) for the west side).

Additionally, LED spotlights are installed in the rafters, which can be controlled in two separate groups. Everything is managed through our Somfy smart home system.

Including the building permit / planning permission, foundation, and installation, the total cost was just under €20,000. It’s a lot of money, but I hope it will pay off over the years!
