Hello,
I bought a pendant lamp for the dining table with 5 sockets (the 5 cords are wrapped around a branch).
The technical specifications are attached.
Now I want to buy light bulbs for it.
We had a problem with LED bulbs and our dimmer in the past. That means LED bulbs don’t work.
Did I buy the wrong lamp? Does it only work with LED bulbs?
Or can I also use other bulbs (if I can find some)?
If we can use regular bulbs: what wattage per bulb would you recommend for the dining table?
Currently, an old lamp with 48W halogen bulbs is installed. It could be a bit brighter, as it is dimmable after all.

You can use "standard" ones, as specified, 5 pieces with a maximum of 24W.
But there are also dimmable LEDs available, which I would prefer.

I would like the vintage lamps. They are only available in LED. However, LED is not compatible with our installed dimmer 🙁

Right now, we have halogen bulbs in there.

If you say I can use something other than LED, then I guess I should be happy that it works without LED at all. The dimmer is really a nice feature 🙂

A standard dimmer with regular LEDs doesn't work either; there are special LEDs designed for dimming—have you tried those? Otherwise, you would need to use incandescent bulbs, as long as they are still available. Yes, I do miss the dimmer from the last rental place a bit, even though we consciously decided against it.

I will probably try buying a sample again.
It's unbelievable: you can hardly find anything. Regular vintage bulbs cost about the same as LEDs but consume ten times as much energy 🙁

The higher-quality LED bulbs (including those with a vintage look featuring filament) now all come with a control chip and are therefore dimmable. Don’t worry about it—just make sure the packaging says "dimmable" when you buy them^^
