So far, I have only received one offer and was shocked:
Aluminum rods, clear glass roof 10mm (0.4 inches) thick (you can walk on it!), about 2m x 5m (6.5 feet x 16.5 feet), cost around 10,000.
Is this realistic?
Of course, a plastic roof is much cheaper, but I’m afraid it will become dirty and opaque after a few years.
What is your opinion?
Thanks,
Alberto
PS Sorry for my poor German; it is not my native language...

Best regards,
SabineYes, very much so. It's not directly ours, but the one on my mother’s (gray) extension. However, the quality is good, and the price was fair.
Hello everyone,
To those who needed a building permit / planning permission for a roof extension due to increased depth:
Where is this regulated in your case? I assume it is covered in the respective state or regional building code. But under which specific section? I have skimmed through the applicable building code for our area but couldn’t find anything. Since the building codes of the federal states / regions are probably similar, your input would be helpful.
Thank you very much.
Good luck, Ippebson

Yes, I have read it there. Still, thank you.
For our building application, we have already included a pergola with a roof covering, for which we obtained a variance due to the height being over 2 meters (6.5 feet) with the neighbor’s approval. Therefore, this should already be settled.
Good luck
