Hello everyone...

After our first floor plan attempt failed completely, we worked with the architect to develop two more ground floor versions and one for the upper floor. I would like to know which ones you find good or bad, and what you generally like or dislike about the floor plans?! Also, the pantry door is drawn a bit oddly; it won’t actually look like that...

The area with the bay window is definitely too narrow if you want to include both a dining and a guest area on the side.

For the dining space, at least 3 meters (10 feet) in width is needed, and the guest room width follows naturally from that... The kitchen next to the hallway is quite narrow as well...

I believe with some ideas, it can be made to work quite well.

Best regards,

Here are the floor plans of the identical semi-detached houses currently being built near us – although they are smaller in area, this should not pose any issue when adapting the design to a larger footprint.

The "L"-shaped staircase seems like a worthwhile solution to adopt.

However, personally, I wouldn’t place the kitchen along two exterior walls!

I quickly visualized a suggestion from @Nordlys, though not with all details, swapping the kitchen and utility room positions:

A decent sofa won’t fit in there either—the access to the west-facing garden is planned near the kitchen/dining area.

But I also have another option because EV can’t come to terms with the quarter-turn staircase (even though I believe the architect is designing a minimalist staircase version that makes it almost impossible to carry a wardrobe upstairs properly—unless it’s still packed in IKEA boxes )
