We are remodeling our kitchen and can’t decide. So far, I like the Ikea Irsta kitchen the most. However, I find it quite expensive, especially since I don’t need the Tradfri stuff. Recessed spotlights are out; the lighting should be as even as possible without individual light points.
Otherwise, we are considering converting other LED panels or installing an LED strip in a profile on the wall.
Of course, you can find all sorts of information by searching online. But who is willing to share real photos of their countertop lighting?
Another question is: Is tunable white necessary for countertop lighting, or is a fixed color temperature enough? In that case, we would most likely go with warm white.

Very nice, the household harmony can never be disturbed as it stands firmly next to Maggi and Nutella 😀
I hesitated for a moment whether to show my unfinished yet tidy kitchen... Here I installed dimmable IKEA LED strips (all other electrical appliances from IKEA have already been removed from the 2-month-old kitchen due to defects or very poor quality).
The LEDs provide even lighting, are dimmable, and bright enough. However, the rear lower edge of the upper cabinets looks unattractive, so I am considering replacing them with the already mentioned panels. (Wine makes me talkative, apparently also makes me write a lot :eek 🙂

I paused for a moment to consider whether to show my unfinished but tidy kitchen... Here, dimmable Ikea LED strips are installed (I’ve already removed all other electrical appliances from the 2-month-old kitchen due to defects or very poor quality).
The LEDs provide even lighting, are dimmable, and sufficiently bright. However, the rear underside of the upper cabinets looks unattractive, so I’m thinking about replacing them with the previously mentioned panels. (Wine makes me talkative, but apparently also makes me write a lot :eek 🙂I just like it tidy 😎 and that kind of socket/cable mess like you have wouldn’t be for me.. PS. The house charm is only there because the official inspection hasn’t happened yet -: 🙂I also like to keep things tidy (someone just has to do it eventually...). The cables will be hidden, and the kettle too. It’s just not finished yet.
But I like the style and design of your kitchen. Unfortunately, my budget didn’t allow for more (kitchen from a studio), among other things because the next property project is already in planning and the land survey has just been ordered 😉 . I’m also not really a "kitchen person," it just has to work.

Hello Mycraft... this is how I solved it. Would this now be considered advertising? 😱
