Hello,
I have the VÄRDE 08-86-4930 stove and sink combination unit.

Next to it is a drawer cabinet, with the refrigerator beside that, and a countertop on top.

Now I’m moving to a larger apartment with a bigger kitchen. The room dimensions are 330 x 260 cm (130 x 102 inches).

My question is:
Should I take the existing kitchen units with me, buy new parts, add a kitchen island and/or wall cabinets (which costs around 500 euros), or buy a completely new kitchen?

The downside of VÄRDE is that so far, I haven’t found a good solution to integrate a washing machine and/or dryer under this series.

The advantages of VÄRDE, of course, are the price and the existing units.

There is hardly going to be a ready-made solution.
How skilled are you with DIY?
The washing machine should be placed next to the sink. The VÄRDE countertop is 65 cm deep (25.6 inches), which should be sufficient. Fit it as suggested with Utby legs. Then, on each outer side, you would need to attach a Faktum cabinet side panel, possibly using brackets to secure it to the countertop and assembly adhesive for the legs. These panels are necessary to mount the doors. Place another Utby leg between the washing machine and the dryer. This serves as a stop for the doors, which could be fitted with a small magnet. The doors would then open outward like wings. Below that, the baseboard would need to be adjusted. That’s the basic idea.

Another important point: How is your kitchen’s electrical system protected? It cannot handle the washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher running simultaneously.
A single circuit typically covers about 3500 watts, and considering that a toaster alone often uses 1000 W… microwave, coffee maker, kettle… add up your appliances and see if this makes sense, so you don’t end up unable to use your kitchen for two hours during a 60°C (140°F) wash. 😉

Best regards,

Electrically, it should be sufficient.
The apartment was completely renovated in 2008, and the current tenant has a similar setup with machines... only the washing machine is not concealed.

The part about the base is not entirely clear to me. Should the machine then stand on a base?

By base, I meant the lower cladding; otherwise, the doors would just hang in midair. It would be simpler to screw a Kvartal rail onto the countertop and use a sliding curtain, for example Ingamaj... this is much more affordable and allows you to add a splash of color now and then.

Well, it doesn’t look very nice. I’ve already seen a few pictures that don’t really impress me 😀

Just build the dishwasher cabinet twice as wide and install inset doors. At a lumber or wood specialty store, you should be able to get custom-cut panels in white from VÄRDE.

If you send me the instructions, I’d be happy to take a look 😀

I now have the option to buy the same dishwasher/cooking unit again for a low price through eBay.
How difficult is it to remove the metal plate and install a wooden countertop instead?

In the compartment where the oven is, I would like to install a door... that should work with Faktum.
