Hello dear Ikea fans,

I know that, in theory, Faktum and Metod cannot be combined, but my question is: can you still use the carcasses and fit different doors on them? On the other hand, I have read that the new cabinets have different heights, which would make this impossible. Maybe one of you has already tinkered with this and can share your experience. Many thanks in advance!

Best regards

Thank you for your reply. That already means quite a bit of effort. Whether it can be cut off properly is also a question. The countertop is not a problem; it would have to be replaced anyway. I will think it over again, as all the cabinet carcasses do add up to a significant amount of money. How is it with the wall cabinets?

I wouldn't want to do all that work as long as it's still possible to buy Faktum.

I wouldn’t want to do all that work as long as FAKTUM is still available for purchase.

I check in myself quite often, and it’s disappearing more and more every day. You can’t put together a complete kitchen anymore, and even finding individual cabinets is becoming difficult.

Only what Filine needs is unknown to us.

Thank you very much! Do you know how much longer all of this will be available? It would almost be enough for half a kitchen. We want to reuse some cabinets and replace all the fronts, plus add a few new cabinets.
