I have already asked this question in another thread but would like to clarify it more precisely here. I have purchased the Factum tall cabinet (211 cm (83 inches) high) for a fridge-freezer combo and want to install a Siemens or Bosch fridge-freezer because I am not a fan of the IKEA appliances. The IKEA units are all installed using a door-on-door system. However, my preferred appliances use fixed door mounting (fixed door system). Employees at IKEA locations in Munich, Eching, Regensburg, and Salzburg, as well as the chat support on the IKEA website, were unable or unwilling to answer my question, so I am asking all IKEA experts: Is this possible? We have chosen the following fridge: Bosch KIS 34A 51. The bottom door must be at least 69.4 cm (27 inches) high, is that correct? According to the IKEA product chat, the bottom door is 70 cm (28 inches) and the top door is 125 cm (49 inches).

I have purchased both the refrigerator (with a fixed-door design) and the built-in cabinet (FAKTUM with one 125cm (49 inch) and one 70cm (28 inch) door). Fortunately, I came across your post before starting the installation today. Could you tell me if my purchase was in vain or if there is still a solution?

Probably no one responded because it’s obvious that other devices can be installed as well.
I think this isn’t the right place to figure that out. If anything, you should contact Bosch or Siemens. They include the mounting materials. Not IKEA.

obzervatoer1 Aug 2010 22:43I also have a Siemens appliance in a 211 cm (83 inches) Faktum cabinet. The mounting kit for the fixed door installation from Siemens fits perfectly and works wonderfully with the IKEA fronts. Even the gap dimensions can be adjusted in all directions.
