Hello everyone...
After our first floor plan attempt failed completely, we worked with the architect to develop two more ground floor versions and one for the upper floor. I would like to know which ones you find good or bad, and what you generally like or dislike about the floor plans?! Also, the pantry door is drawn a bit oddly; it won’t actually look like that...

Zoning is a modern concept. In the past, you ate in the kitchen and listened to radio plays from the public broadcaster in the living room. If you were better off, you had a separate dining room. With a vestibule. Today, everything has to be one large room with a cooking area, dining area, and TV watching area—that's just how it is. Zones instead of rooms. Karsten

Sure. My floor plans are also being heavily criticized right now. So I understand how you feel Be glad that you are getting responses. Why else would you post your designs? Just to avoid feedback or only receive praise?
Unfortunately, when I posted my floor plan, I hardly received any useful follow-up comments (let alone a user who took the time to draw a few sketches for me)... Although the house works well for the two of us, and I still basically like it, the crucial advice I should have received was to plan the bedroom on the ground floor and move the guest room and office upstairs. That would have been consistent. Now a change is planned at some point, but the office alone is not quite large enough to serve as a bedroom with a wardrobe.

Unfortunately, back then I barely got any constructive comments on my floor plan (let alone a user who took the time to draw a few sketches for me)... We live very well as two people, and I still basically like our layout, but the crucial advice I should have received was to plan the bedroom on the ground floor right from the start and move guest and office rooms upstairs. That would have been consistent. A change is planned at some point, but the office alone isn’t quite enough to replace a bedroom with a closet. I feel the same. I hadn’t noticed the bedroom issue. But our plot is really challenging, so moving floors around isn’t an option. I also added a section drawing of the plot. But yes, I would have appreciated some praise as well.

Ev-Marie8622 May 2017 21:58You’re right… I was very depressed… Now I’ve moved everything around… kitchen in the “top right” corner… dining table in the bay window… living room by the double wall… different staircase… now by the entrance… and so on… ten different attempts… the architect is “slightly annoyed”… and drawing the new version will take until sometime next week… I haven’t told her anything from here…
