Hello everyone,
I want to retrofit soft-close dampers on the full-extension drawers of my Faktum Ikea kitchen.
For the sink cabinet, this worked without any issues. It came with those round dampers.
However, it’s different for the regular base cabinet with three drawers. Are there different systems for that?
Best regards,
Tobi

I have the same cabinet. What works well with the standard drawers is rather mediocre with this cabinet. You can save your money. The drawers do close on their own, but they don’t do so gently or quietly, especially if you have glass bottles like vinegar and oil in the bottom drawer.
I imagine these dampers are designed for 60cm (24 inches) wide drawers but are too strong for the smaller 30cm (12 inches) wide drawers.

Nordkäppchen9 Feb 2014 20:40Hmm, your description of the standard cabinet is a bit brief. Just share a link to your cabinet, and then we can help better.
There are different types of drawers, with and without soft-close mechanisms. Drawers without soft-close can be retrofitted with the soft-close device mentioned above.
You can check on the website which drawer model you have. When you click on the respective model, it will also show which accessories are available for it.
Is your cabinet/drawers older? I mean, a few years ago there was a system change for the drawers.

IKEA-Experte9 Feb 2014 21:33It works well with my 30cm (12 inches) cabinet.
You probably have cabinets with drawers that were purchased before 2007 or outside Germany. Please upload a picture of the rails.
