Hello everyone,

I want to retrofit soft-close dampers on the full-extension drawers of my Faktum Ikea kitchen.
For the sink cabinet, this worked without any issues. It came with those round dampers.
However, it’s different for the regular base cabinet with three drawers. Are there different systems for that?

Best regards,
Tobi

You need to upload the image to your gallery. After that, a link will be displayed with the image, which you must copy and paste here.

You will need to replace the cabinet runners unless you enjoy creative metalwork involving sawing, filing, and drilling...

No, the rails were only extended starting in 2006 to allow mounting the dampers. You would basically have to make the extension yourself and screw it onto the cabinet in order to attach the dampers.

Hi
It's me again... would it be possible to replace my new drawer slides with soft-close dampers with these older ones without dampers?

As I mentioned, I recently got the 30cm (12 inches) cabinet with the three drawers and added these dampers.
If these slides aren’t available separately at IKEA, we could swap them.

@ IKEA-Expert: What do you think, would that work?

Best regards

No, Nordkäppchen, that’s not possible. These are two completely different systems. (Blum Tandembox plus <--> Hettich Quattro)
