Good evening everyone,

I am new to the forum, as I moved out of my parents’ home just a week ago.
I bought a Metod kitchen from IKEA with all the electrical appliances. The assembly went well except for the dishwasher, which has been causing me trouble for days, and IKEA either can’t or won’t assist me further.
I have the Rengöra dishwasher with production number 911 535 072 and want to attach a Bodbyn front panel with a height of 80 cm (31.5 inches) to it.
I drilled all the holes using the drilling template and assembled all parts. However, when hooking it onto the sliding hinge, the front panel sticks out above the countertop. Could someone please help me with this?
I have searched the entire forum but unfortunately could not find a solution.

Thank you very much!

Hello, the dishwasher needs to be pushed further into the niche. Someone wrote here that there are plastic parts on the back of the appliance meant for transport, which need to be removed.

Hello,

thank you for your post. Unfortunately, the dishwasher cannot be pushed in further because the front panel is taller than the countertop. Of course, I could lower the dishwasher, but according to the manual, there must be no gap between the top of the dishwasher and the countertop. However, the gap would be nearly 2cm (0.8 inches) if the front panel were to fit.

Best regards,

Did you
a) use the correct drilling template,
b) attach the spacer bar on top?

Good evening,

thank you very much! I or rather the electrical appliance installer did not attach the spacer strip.. Unfortunately, he apparently threw it away since he left nothing behind.
Does anyone happen to know where I can get one?

Thanks and best regards
Sascha
