I have two 80cm (31.5 inches) Faktum cabinets with three drawers each and a sink base cabinet 80cm (31.5 inches) wide, which use the same large front panels.
So, I have six STAT fronts, 80cm (31.5 inches) wide, in two different heights (not counting the shallow drawer).
On at least four of these six fronts, the paint has cracked at the top right corner when viewed from the front, specifically where a hole has been drilled from the back. This also includes the top front of the sink base cabinet, where there isn’t even a wooden dowel in the hole yet.
On a fifth front, you can barely feel a slight raised area at this spot.
I plan to inspect the entire kitchen again this weekend to check for any other issues and then file a complaint with IKEA. But the fact that the problem occurs in the same place on all fronts is definitely noticeable.

have you already been to Ikea? What was the result of your complaint?
If it is only a problem with the hinges or a paint issue, then it could also affect the other painted fronts.
It would be great if you could share your experience here. Maybe it will help those who want to buy new kitchen fronts or even a complete Faktum kitchen before the system change.

These material defects occur when drilling the fronts. There are three possible causes:
1. An incorrect drill bit was used, meaning the rotation direction (right or left) was reversed.
2. The drilling was done too deep and with too fast a feed rate, causing the holes to be punched rather than drilled.
3. Lack of counter pressure, meaning there was no flat surface supporting the material during drilling. It is similar to trying to drill a clean hole while clamping a piece of wood on the opposite side.
It is possible that there are other factors involved, but normally the quality control is very good.
I believe there should be no problem exchanging them.
