Hello IKEA fans,
A few weeks ago, I bought Pax – unfortunately, I only just got around to assembling it and I’m getting frustrated...
Among other components (I’m leaving out small parts like shelves):
- 1x Pax (100cm wide/201cm high)
- 2x Pax (50cm wide/201cm high)
- 1x Pax Lyngdal sliding door
- Komplement door closer
- 2x Komplement drawers (100cm wide)
Problem:
The wardrobe is assembled, the sliding doors are hung and move smoothly. However, after installing the door closers, the wide drawers won’t slide out. They hit the front door, which can’t slide further to the right. This is because the component that hooks into the door closer and closes the door also partly overlaps the other door, preventing further sliding to the right – I can’t describe it any other way...
Here are pictures of the "problem"
You can see how the drawer hits the door

This happens because the front door cannot slide any further to the right. The component on the left door closer overlaps the rear door, so it can’t be pushed further right...

And here you can see that the hanger (upper guide rail – where the door opener is also attached) is already as far to the right as possible. So no further movement to the right is possible here.

Please help
Best regards
Miranda

The outer door goes on the left and the inner door on the right.
Simply assemble everything according to the instructions, but do not stick on the three sealing strips at first.
Then hang the doors and position them so that the outer sliding door is on the left.
At this point, you’ll notice that the outer aluminum edge profiles don’t fit properly. Just saw a bit off the ends so you can basically install them upside down.
Now install and test the dampers.
Finally, stick the sealing strips on to seal the open gaps.
Done!
