Let’s start with the (according to the agent) move-in ready property. The small kitchen, just under 8 square meters (about 86 square feet), had its 1970s pass-through removed. The wall including the kitchen door is gone! The wall next to the cellar stairs is gone too! Actually, the entire slanted wall, nearly 7 meters (23 feet) high, removed completely...
The window had to go as well since we needed a different working height than the standard 90 cm (35 inches). New screed installed, we switched to underfloor heating, all electrical wiring and water pipes are new.
After almost six months, the realization slowly sank in: the kitchen budget will not exceed 5000 EUR, so we had to look for a used kitchen... something special, but very cheap.
The search criteria: within a 100 km (62 miles) radius, up to 1000 EUR, because I still want new appliances.

Wow, this place is really cool. Disputes over a few bottles— I can live with that, even if it means assumptions about alcohol problems, family breakdowns, and so on. All nonsense. But what really hits me hard is the Smooty Maker bashing!! We love this device!! Does that make us antisocial?

Our bottles are honestly on a cabinet because the liqueur bottles given as Christmas presents are quite tall and don’t fit in any cupboard without wasting storage space. Then you have three of those, plus the port wine used for cooking. So why move the two gin bottles somewhere else? They’re not that ugly.
We should question these display cabinets where the “nice dinnerware” just sits unused. Or the whole colorful collection of coffee mugs some people hoard in their cupboards... no wonder the breakfast table looks like a marketplace.
Taste varies, and everyone has different priorities in life that they love and take care of.

Alcohol is a drug that is socially accepted. This strong social acceptance is alcohol’s biggest problem. I personally would not display alcohol proudly, just as I wouldn’t put a bong in a display cabinet. What for? This is not moralizing, but a matter of personal attitude. However, I do not deny anyone their own attitude. Everyone can handle it as they like. But I actually know few, if any, people who openly display their indulgences. Whatever the reason, most of them consume anyway.

No, initially, what makes this different from a regular blender or hand blender?A smoothie blender comes with special bottles that you can use immediately or seal with a suitable to-go lid. It’s quite convenient but not necessary for someone who doesn’t make smoothies regularly.
