Hello,
here is my problem:
I bought Pax Heimdal sliding doors on eBay, but unfortunately the doors are 2 meters (6 ft 7 in) long while the top and bottom tracks are only 1.5 meters (5 ft) long. So they don’t fit. OK. I just went to Ikea in Essen and was told that these tracks are not sold separately and that you basically have to buy everything new. This can’t be true—having to buy completely new parts just because of two small tracks.
Now my questions:
1.) Is that correct? Can these tracks not be purchased individually?
2.) Does anyone have these tracks and want to sell them?
3.) Where could such parts be obtained if needed?
I would be VERY GRATEFUL for any help......

rafael196630 Aug 2010 15:44Hello!
Is there still a need?
I have a new set of tracks (top roller guide and bottom guide) for a 2.5 meter (8 feet 2 inches) closet.
There are 2 pieces, each about 125cm (49 inches) long, which are then screwed together in the middle.
For 2 meters (6 feet 7 inches), they would need to be cut accordingly.
However, I’m not sure about the most cost-effective way to ship them.

Maverick18542 Sep 2010 09:11For 2 meters (6.6 feet), they would need to be shortened accordingly. It’s not that simple. The recesses must still be milled out, the holes need to be redrilled, and the end piece has to be installed...

rafael19662 Sep 2010 12:38Hello!
The aluminum profile is the same along the entire length. What would need to be done is to cut it (at one end where the stopper is attached, to ensure a smooth transition between profile and profile) and drill a hole for the stopper or its mounting.
Of course, it’s a bit of a DIY project rather than a ready-made solution, but the effort is quite manageable.

Maverick18543 Sep 2010 08:03And what about the recess at the end of the rail so that it can go around the side wall of the cabinet? Or is there a recess there already?
Next:
The Pax 250 model has 4 cabinets, meaning 2 x 75 cm (30 inches) and 2 x 50 cm (20 inches).
The Pax 200 model has 2 cabinets, each with 2 x 100 cm (40 inches).
This means at least 2 recesses need to be cut into the rails.
Just for better understanding: if you have the necessary DIY skills, like I do, it wouldn’t be a problem, but a novice would be completely lost. Moreover, the rails lose stability because of this. I would be very cautious with such modifications.
If a rail were to come loose due to reduced stability and the doors fall off, everything would have been for nothing, and the person would still need to buy new doors and rails. Additionally, the warranty is void if the rails are modified.

rafael19664 Sep 2010 20:02Hello!
I took another look at the rails and placed them against a 2-meter (6.5 feet) cabinet. The only thing you need to do is cut them to length and drill a hole for the stopper.
The recesses (the lower guide) also fit if you shorten the rail by about 25 cm (10 inches).
So:
This works even for people who don’t have the necessary DIY skills (like Maverick1854 ;->)!
Best regards
