Hello,

we have a major problem assembling the Pax Anstad sliding doors.

A frame requires installing 4 plastic panels. The issue is that after the panels are fitted with the spacers, the last side part of the frame cannot be installed because the panels seem to be "slightly too wide," causing about 5mm (0.2 inches) to protrude, making the right side panel not fit.

Can anyone help with this?

I will try to upload pictures tomorrow to make the problem clearer.

Regards

Are the individual components properly inserted? Completely?

Have you measured each component? Is it possible that one is larger than the others?
Are the components installed in the correct order, meaning numbered?

If answering these questions doesn’t lead to a solution, then something is wrong, which means a trip to Ikea for an exchange.

So, I assembled my doors yesterday. I had exactly the same problem with one door; the only solution is to take it apart and reassemble it. Otherwise, you can fix minor irregularities by pulling at the sides, and tightening the screws will make it fit well.

Hope this helps. Best regards

Hello everyone,
last week I also purchased the Anstad sliding doors in 2m x 2.36m (6 ft 7 in x 7 ft 9 in).

The ceiling height is not very high, so we had to assemble the cabinet while standing up. This worked really well, and we were also able to install the sliding doors from the side. (Beforehand, the right stopper had to be removed from the upper track).

The right "bottom" door slides perfectly.

Now to my problem:
The left "top" door squeaks on its own (not just when sliding—just touching a section of the door causes it), even though it was assembled exactly like the right door.
When I try to open this door with a slight swing, it makes two fairly loud cracking noises.
If I open it slowly, it does not always happen.
However, if I pull the door slightly downward or apply gentle pressure to the upper right fitting, it runs smoothly—except for the squeaking sounds.

I hope I have explained this clearly.

Can anyone help me with this? What could be causing the cracking and these noises?
I have attached the cabinet to the wall with two screws; should I secure it further with two more screws?
Or will these noises disappear once I install the interior components (shelves, drawers, and clothes rail)?

I would really appreciate any advice.

Thank you and best regards,
Juney

Hello

I have a huge problem with the Pax wardrobe and the sliding doors. I just can’t get this blue film off the doors; it’s sticky in the corners, and I’ve already spent five hours today trying to remove it, but nothing works.

The instructions specifically say to remove the film only after the sliding doors are fully assembled. Do you have any tips for me? I’m really getting frustrated!!!

Thank you very much!

Even though this post is a bit older, the issue is still relevant today and appears high in the Google search results, so here is our solution:

We slid the panes together. Then we wrapped a tension strap around all of them lengthwise until the screw holes aligned properly. We did the same when assembling the individual elements with screws. In total, we used three tension straps: two lengthwise and one shorter one to secure the rail elements.

Our next challenge came when hanging the doors. This was only possible by removing the right stopper and sliding the doors in.

The highlight was that one of the guide brackets at the top wasn’t a clean U-shape; one side was bent inward. We had to bend the bracket open to increase the gap so the doors could slide past each other smoothly.

Thankfully, one of us stayed calm and never gave up.

Enjoy the assembly.
