ᐅ IKEA METOD kitchen with a third-party oven – how to adjust the height?

KijujuHello,
I am currently planning my first kitchen. Since I already have a stove with a height of 85 cm (33.5 inches), I am now facing the issue of height adjustment. The cabinet carcass height is 88 cm (35 inches) and the countertop is 3.8 cm (1.5 inches) thick (Karlby walnut). This results in a total height of 91.8 cm (36.1 inches), so I am missing 6.8 cm (2.7 inches). Can I compensate for this with Metod feet and an 18 mm (0.7 inch) thick plywood panel?
Or should I build feet directly under all the cabinets?
How does this work with the dishwasher (Välgjord, 81.8 cm (32.2 inches) height, 3.8 cm (1.5 inch) countertop thickness), as I am also missing 2.4 cm (0.9 inch) there? Is this how IKEA intends it?
Since the nearest IKEA is 100 km (62 miles) away, I would prefer not to plan everything on site and am already grateful for any help.

Is your stove freestanding? Does it have its own housing?
Can you possibly adjust the height of the stove itself? Aligning the top edge of the stove with the underside of the countertop would already be enough to hide the cabinet sides.
It’s quite common to see cooktops installed lower than the rest of the kitchen.
Otherwise, I don’t see any issue with raising the stove by placing a board underneath.
However, I’m not sure whether it’s acceptable from a fire protection perspective to use an OSB board for that.

Thanks for the quick reply!
In the meantime, I have looked at the dishwasher manual. In the size specifications, it lists 818 mm (32 inches) and directly below that 898 mm (35 inches). Does this mean it can be adjusted to that height? That seems like a lot to me. But it would help with my problems.

Hello,
I wanted to share an update. The kitchen is installed, and the oven’s user manual did not specify any minimum clearances. We kept it at a height of 85cm (33 inches) and raised the surrounding cabinets slightly, which makes for comfortable working conditions. The oven doesn’t get hot on the outside; we tested it at 250°C (482°F), and the sides stayed completely cool. This is very different from the Välgjord dishwasher, which even warms up the adjacent sink o.O
Thank you very much for the help!
