Hello everyone, I recently bought a Pax wardrobe and now face the challenge of securely fixing it on an uneven floor. The irregularities mainly consist of slight height differences of up to 1.5 cm (0.6 inches) across the surface where the wardrobe will be placed. My question is: what is the best way to secure a Pax wardrobe on uneven floors so that it stands firmly, doesn’t wobble, and maintains its load capacity? Are there specific techniques, materials, or additional fasteners you would recommend? I am also interested to know whether the wardrobe feet should be adjusted accordingly or if other measures are more effective. Thanks a lot for your advice!

- First, check the floor with a spirit level to determine the exact unevenness.
- For height differences up to approximately 2 cm (0.8 inches), adjustable furniture feet can be used, placed under the wardrobe and individually adjusted.
- Alternatively, plastic furniture gliders or leveling wedges can be used to compensate for minor unevenness.
- It is also advisable to secure the wardrobe to the wall, which significantly increases stability and prevents any wobbling.
It is important that the chosen accessories can safely support the weight of the wardrobe and its contents. For severe unevenness, consider improving the subfloor (e.g., using an OSB board as a level base).

What helped me was attaching adjustable feet at the bottom and then fixing it to the wall – now it’s rock solid! If you’re unsure about the feet, definitely give this a try. It provides stability, especially if kids are running around, as they can easily tip the wardrobe otherwise! Good luck!

If possible, it’s best to fix them directly into a wall stud or masonry to ensure a secure attachment. The adjustable feet allow for fine-tuning and compensate for slight unevenness in the floor.
