Hello everyone,
We are currently planning our kitchen and want to have a "pass-through cabinet" leading to the hidden pantry behind it.
The pantry will need space for a fridge and freezer. The question is, how wide does the pass-through cabinet need to be? Is 60cm (24 inches) enough?
The kitchen planners are recommending 2 x 50cm (2 x 20 inches). I think that's excessive. Are there any practical experiences with this?

Hello,
Which manufacturer is that? Even IKEA offers 80cm (32 inches) cabinets...
Regarding the question, if possible, I would plan for a standard 80cm (32 inches) door. Anything else is just complicated.
Best regards,
Andreas

Well, 80cm (31.5 inches) wide "kitchen cabinet doors" as a hidden access to the pantry... you really need to think carefully about how the door opens into the room. In most cases, I find hidden doors unnecessary. Only a few floor plans really require the pantry access to be exactly at the kitchen location.

Ikea does have 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinets – yes. But not as a “pass-through cabinet.” They don’t have a bottom panel inside at the base.
