Hello,
We are currently planning our kitchen.
Since it’s a big and unclear jungle and it’s hard to compare everything, I wanted to ask for your help.
We believe that when you go to a showroom and don’t exactly know what you want or need, you might end up paying too much.
I wanted to ask which kitchen brands are good in terms of quality and durability, without being excessively overpriced.
We basically want a mid-range kitchen for our house.
Kitchen cabinets: Nobilia or Nolte kitchens (please suggest other good brands that meet our criteria).
Kitchen appliances: Neff, Bosch, Siemens, or which appliance brands would you recommend? The appliances should have good functions and offer comfort.
Sink: no idea.
I hope you can recommend good brands for cabinets, appliances, and sinks based on your own positive experiences.
Maybe there are also kitchen builders among you who can provide advice as well.

No one can answer that for you. You can’t go wrong as long as the features you want are included. Take a look for yourself, often it helps to try them out… I, for example, had to hold a laptop in my hands; the feel is hard to describe.
Basically, a completely “basic” oven, etc., is enough nowadays, because a high standard is built in and truly simple models hardly exist anymore.
It’s the little extras or special requests that cost money, and then it’s up to you to decide if they are worth it. We have a Miele extractor hood for €500 (about $540), which was the top-rated product. We really like it, while the next person might want a hanging design piece… also great.
Often, manufacturers don’t actually build the appliances themselves, for example refrigerators, where most are probably produced by Liebherr under license.

I mostly have those features myself. But not because I wanted them, just because they came with the appliance. A gimmick. Nothing more. Yesterday my dishwasher reminded me to run a cleaning program for maintenance…

It’s like Bosch, Neff, and Siemens – all have their strengths in different areas and target different customer groups. VW, Seat, and Skoda are different vehicles built on the same platform. However, BSH products are often identical appliances with the same features and design, and priced similarly (more or less).
