Hello, have you already tensioned the dishwasher door spring to its maximum?

Hmm, it really doesn’t seem adjustable anymore. The installation manual from Bosch specifies an allowable front load of 2.5 - 8.5 kg (5.5 - 18.7 lbs).
If you mill anything away, there is an increased risk of moisture damage.

Regarding the issue of the hinge coming off the pins, it occurred to me that everything must be precisely aligned along a single axis of rotation. This means the pins need to be installed exactly, the adjacent cabinets must be perfectly parallel and flush with each other, and the dishwasher must also be completely parallel to the cabinets.

The pivot axis is correct. The problem with the door springing open doesn’t occur often, but it does happen occasionally. It also depends on how and where you grab the flap or front panel and how quickly and firmly you pull it up.

I have now detached the VÅGLIG from the dishwasher front. According to our personal scale, it weighs about 1kg (2.2 lbs).

Then I disassembled the entire rest and weighed it. The complete front (without the VÅGLIG) including all attached parts hanging on the flap weighs exactly 8.8kg (19.4 lbs).

According to the manufacturer, the whole assembly is designed for 8.5kg (18.7 lbs).

Without the VÅGLIG it has improved a bit, but it’s still not perfect. When the flap falls down, it shakes the dishwasher noticeably. Since the dishwasher is only fixed on the sides with one screw, I plan to replace it with a fine-threaded screw and a nut on the other cabinet side so nothing will loosen anymore.

I will probably call Bosch again tomorrow...

Does anyone know in advance if these hinges can be installed on the dishwasher by oneself? Strangely, I couldn’t even find them in Bosch’s spare parts list...

Hinges are also referred to as (door) bands. The door hinges listed are blue. The spare parts shop probably only shows the standard installed parts.

On my screen, it looks more like paint than blued steel. If no special tools are needed, just try installing the other hinges.
The door acts as a relatively long lever arm. I can easily imagine that the 400 g (0.88 lbs) make a difference.
