During the day, my heating just turns off, and if I tell my wife what to do and when, I get into trouble. So, I prefer to just enjoy my life 🙂

In 2020, however, 38% of our electricity came from the photovoltaic system, which isn’t too bad at all without a battery storage.

And with your Hartz4-level electricity consumption, you’re not really in a position to argue :p

I can basically relate to the first answer. It’s not easy.

Just wait, in two months I’ll have my one-year anniversary, then you’re welcome—and right—to tease me :p

Total 7,532.2 kWh; self-consumption 45%, autonomy 63%; CO2 savings 5,272.5 kg

How large was your storage again, and how much did you pay for it?

Be careful not to make it too cold during the transition period. Better to try 25/21.5.

I’ve thought about that too. Makes more sense than 26°C (79°F) and 20°C (68°F).

Tough question... I know that means a lot of electricity.
- Photovoltaic system 8.68 kWp 12,000 euros gross 22 months ago
- Battery 6.4 kWh 5,800 euros gross 10 months ago
- additionally ordered 2.58 kWh last week 1,500 euros gross

Whether the battery pays off or not is debatable. The photovoltaic system was never really intended to support the heat pump to the extent it did in the last 10 days or to run it for free. Normally, February is just as dark as December and feels like it produces almost nothing.
