Hello!
I'll start.
Heated area 200m2 (2,153 sq ft)
KfW 55 standard
Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery
Current outdoor temperature 6°C (43°F)
Heating energy consumption including hot water 35 kWh
Electricity consumption 9 kWh
COP 3.88

That was a good tip. We have 0.5 degrees (0.9°F) higher inside the house, and the heating ran a bit longer. Consumption was 18 kWh instead of 12 kWh. I’ll keep it running like this for a few days and then see. It has also gotten significantly colder again.

I thought that too. Makes more sense than 26/20

Hello!
I’d like to join in here: What does 26/20 mean?
Is it flow temperature 26 and room temperature 20 degrees?
Or what does it refer to?

This refers to the endpoint and base point of the heating curve.

Now the exciting days are here. The sun has retreated, and temperatures are dropping below 0 degrees Celsius (32°F) again. I’m curious whether we will freeze or if I’ll just be busy stoking the stove. My wife has already ordered jackets 😀

Perseverance is the key!

Hang in there!

Let’s see, today was supposed to be cloudy but it wasn’t. Heating, hot water, lunch for free, and the battery fully charged. So we made it through today as well, 100% self-sufficient.

P.S. Don’t forget the bathroom rugs, then the tiles won’t feel so cold :-p

Zaba,
have you ever done a cost-effectiveness calculation for the photovoltaic system and storage?
I would be interested to know when it will pay off.
Have you also taken into account the higher interest rates due to a larger loan?
Is there any kind of support or subsidy available, for example through KfW?
