As long as I do it myself, I have no problem. But eventually, the kids will shower on their own, and you can imagine how much importance a teenager places on dampness and mold :p

Yes, that’s true.
You can still install a decentralized ventilation system in the bathroom...
Or link the ventilation to internet access... That should work. The real challenge will be consistent enforcement.

If I didn't have to tear open the plaster and install cables, I would have already had a decentralized ventilation system 😉

Amazing, I’m really glad we have a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery. In winter, we hardly ever ventilate the bathroom and bedroom manually. Humidity stays constant at 45%. Only the kitchen needs constant ventilation since we cook a lot, and our recirculating range hood is ineffective at removing odors... Same with the mechanical ventilation system...

This is how it looks after one bath and two showers. It has definitely improved significantly. The relative humidity was at 82%.

I would consider that normal myself. As long as it doesn’t look like that after airing.
