Hello everyone,
we are in the process of building a single-family house with a basement suitable for living. This is the design we have come up with. I would like to hear from you if you see any possibilities for improvements.
On the ground floor, there is a side entrance door on the right. The carport will be located there.
In the basement living area, the children's rooms face south. From there, it should be possible to access the terrace and the garden.
I look forward to your tips and suggestions!

Did the recessed top floor come about because you dislike sloped roofs, or were there other reasons? Why was a standard gable roof house not an option this time? As I said, originally we always wanted a townhouse, which explains the shape. Yes, it’s a matter of personal taste. Why choose sloped roofs voluntarily when a flat one works?

Why voluntarily include a sloped roof if it works? We wouldn’t have 63 pages if it worked that well.
There are many reasons for choosing a gable roof or a “sloped” roof. For example, when used cleverly, it can create more floor area without reaching a full additional story.
That could basically be an option here as well.
But I think it will take another 63 pages before we get information about the zoning plan / building permit and so on.
I am always referring to post 34. I consider this design largely acceptable, except for the walk-in closet. There is neither a pitched roof nor a set-back upper floor; from the front, it looks like a small bungalow, while from the back, it appears as a two-story hillside house with a balcony. Please, what are you talking about? Clarification needed. k.

Here are three more pictures from a different perspective... now you can criticize me again! @Nordlys, I admit I'm also a bit lost, but if I understand correctly, a hillside house is no longer an option because the plot has been filled.
Sorry, the pictures are not included, see #308

Sorry, the pictures are not included, see #308 In the last pages, I presented three options. No. 2 is currently our favorite. Adjustments for the ground floor and first floor are still possible, especially regarding the balcony. This is the current status!
