Hello everyone, I am currently planning to assemble an Ikea Platsa wardrobe and wondering which tools can really make the assembly easier. Besides the included hex key and hammer that Ikea provides, there must be other useful tools that make the work more comfortable or faster. Which tools – both manual and power tools – have you used when assembling PLATSA and would you recommend? Are there any special aids or tricks that should not be overlooked when connecting the modules or attaching the back panels and doors? I look forward to your experiences and tips!

A cordless screwdriver with adjustable torque is the best choice.

Don’t forget a rubber mallet to gently fit parts together.

High-quality screwdrivers and hex keys (Allen wrenches) are important.

I love how straightforward the assembly becomes with the right tools!

My advice: Don’t let the fun get spoiled! Definitely use a cordless screwdriver with the appropriate bits; it saves nerves and time!

And when you encounter tricky spots, having a helper will surely make a difference – this keeps the enjoyment going and helps you finish faster!

Good luck with the assembly and above all: don’t rush, it makes everything easier 😊

A cordless screwdriver with a hex bit and a rubber mallet are sufficient.

No expensive special tools are necessary.

Clamps are optional if no one is available to help.

In summary, the most important factors when assembling IKEA Platsa, besides patience and carefulness, are using the right tools.

The combination of a cordless drill plus good hand tools makes assembly much more efficient.

I fully agree with this. Additionally, I recommend:
- A set of hex keys (Allen wrenches) in various sizes, since the included ones are often low quality or too small.
- A good clamp or locking pliers to stabilize parts while screwing.
- A flat work surface to assemble the modules lying down, which helps avoid assembly mistakes.

It is also important to use low-vibration tools if possible, to avoid unnecessary stress on the material. Those who follow these tips will be rewarded with a clean result and less frustration.
