Hello everyone, I am interested in the topic of spare parts for the Ikea Hemnes range. Since I recently acquired some furniture pieces from the Hemnes series, I would like to know in advance which spare parts are most commonly needed. I am particularly curious if there are typical weak points with drawers, doors, or fittings that tend to wear out quickly. Additionally, I would like to know if spare parts are easy to reorder and if there are any general recommendations on which parts are best to keep in stock to be able to act quickly if needed. Who has experience with this and can share detailed information about which Hemnes spare parts you have needed and why? Thanks in advance for your helpful feedback!

One more question for you: Do you mainly use dressers, nightstands, or wardrobes from the Hemnes series?I would like to add that the type of furniture does indeed influence which spare parts are most commonly needed. For dressers, for example, the drawer slides are usually the parts that require replacement most often, whereas with wardrobes, door hinges tend to be more relevant.
From my own experience, handles on nightstands wear out faster because people often touch them with wet or dirty hands. Therefore, it’s a good idea to keep spare handles on hand if you own several Hemnes nightstands.
In general, reordering parts from Ikea is straightforward as long as you know the exact part numbers or can provide a photo of the piece you need. I also recommend always keeping the assembly instructions, as they often contain useful information about spare parts.

How intensive is the use of the furniture in your case? Do you use it mainly in a private living area with moderate wear, or are there children or frequent furniture rearrangements that might accelerate the wear?I find this question very important. A more precise assessment of everyday use is crucial to better determine the wear profile.
To add: With intensive use, such as in households with children or frequent rearranging, it is advisable to regularly lubricate the plastic glides and replace the hinge screws after some time to ensure lasting stability.
If wear is already significant, it may also be sensible to replace entire assemblies (e.g., complete drawer slides) rather than just individual small damaged parts.
If desired, I am happy to assist with identifying the exact spare part names and provide guidance on installation.
