Hello everyone,
I recently installed Ikea Metod kitchen cabinets with glass fronts and now I’m wondering which cleaning products are truly suitable for gently and effectively cleaning these fronts without damaging them or causing them to become dull.
Since glass fronts are more delicate than traditional cabinet fronts, I’m especially interested in whether there are specific cleaners that don’t leave streaks and won’t harm the glass. Are there any cleaning products recommended specifically for Ikea Metod fronts, or general tips for their care?
I’m very much looking forward to your experiences and advice so I can keep the glass fronts looking great for a long time and make cleaning as easy as possible. Thanks in advance!

Wow, there are already some great tips here!
I have Metod glass fronts myself and can only say: patience when cleaning really pays off!
I usually use cold water and a microfiber cloth, no special cleaners. And if the dirt is really stubborn, I use a little dish soap with warm water. I also find it important not to scrub, but to always wipe gently.
And an absolute insider tip from me is: after cleaning, dry the glass surfaces with a chamois leather. This makes them completely streak-free!
I can also recommend cleaning the surfaces right after cooking, because dried-on grease splatters are harder to remove. So keeping up with it really pays off!

I recently had problems with streaks on my Metod glass fronts and was quite frustrated because I thought only special cleaners could fix that. Now I’m going to try your gentle method and hope I can restore the glossy look.
Sometimes the stress in the kitchen makes cleaning and maintenance difficult, but tips like these make things much easier. Thanks to everyone here who shares their experiences!
