Hello everyone, I am currently facing a problem with my IKEA Hemnes wardrobe. I have reviewed the instructions several times, but I simply cannot get past a certain step. The description is very unclear, and some steps seem to be missing. Does anyone have experience with what to do in such a case? Or how to proceed when the official instructions don’t help, especially with complex furniture like the Hemnes? Are there any specific tips, alternative sources, or perhaps tricks to overcome these obstacles? I would really appreciate any helpful advice or shared experiences.

Maybe forums like this can help support each other when frustration sets in?Exactly, and hey, every instruction has its quirks – Hemnes is definitely a masterclass in furniture assembly. ? My tip is: always take five minutes to breathe, maybe have a cup of coffee, and then approach it with a positive attitude.
And honestly, if you get too caught up in the details when installing the back panel, it can quickly become frustrating. It’s better to stay relaxed, prepare properly, and fit the back panel at the end – that usually makes the biggest difference.

Only fix the back panel at the corners with small nails or screws once all the large parts are assembled.Thank you for the detailed explanation; it really helps to better understand the process. I didn’t realize that the back panel shouldn’t be fastened from the start – I think I did that wrong, which is why the whole frame became somewhat unstable.
I will take this advice and disassemble and rebuild the cabinet. If anyone has additional tips, please share!
A valuable tip I always share: If the written instructions are not clear enough, a patient, step-by-step approach often helps, including a "dry fit" – assembling all parts without screws first to check if they fit together.
This also makes it easier to understand the sequence and provides confidence in the correct assembly process. Additionally, it helps prevent damage to components or incorrect installation positions. This method has proven to be quite efficient, especially with Hemnes.
