Hello everyone,

I am new to this forum and have already read through a few discussions here, which have mostly been very helpful. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite understand the statement from the extremely friendly (no irony) IKEA employee today. I asked if I could purchase my own appliances and integrate them into the Metod series.

I then studied various buying guides and compared the dimensions of the individual appliances. In my opinion, the oven, microwave, and cooktop should not be a problem.

I want to integrate the following:

Oven: Siemens HB673G0S1
Microwave: Siemens BF 634 RGS 1
Cooktop: Siemens EH845BC17E

So far, so good, but the exhaust/recirculation hood and the dishwasher seem problematic... or so I think!?
Perhaps someone here can help or has some experience?

I plan to install an exhaust fan module (Siemens LB75564, 73cm (29 inches)) in an 80x37x80cm (31x15x31 inches) wall cabinet, and a 60cm (24 inches) dishwasher into the IKEA base cabinet designed for this purpose. I haven’t progressed much with the dishwasher yet and am still quite open regarding the brand, it just needs to be A-rated. Maybe someone already has the Välgjord dishwasher and can share their experience?!

Alternatively, can someone recommend a dishwasher or exhaust unit that integrates smoothly into IKEA cabinets?

Best regards

André

Hello, according to the dimension drawings from Siemens, the extractor unit does not fit into the cabinet. It is difficult to find a suitable one for an 80cm (31.5 inches) cabinet. Berbel offers something, as do the appliances from IKEA.

Dishwashers do not go inside a cabinet. On the Siemens and Bosch websites, search for "Vario hinge." If you select XXL appliances with a height of 86.5cm (34 inches) in the search results, you will see all models that fit into METOD. Suitable machines are also available from Miele and AEG.

Thank you for the quick reply.
Installing the dishwasher seems feasible, but presumably somewhat complicated?
The dimensions of the ventilation unit also made me hesitate, but unfortunately, I don’t know the exact measurements of the wall cabinet.
The unit could fit if the entire bottom of the cabinet is removed and the Siemens unit is placed all the way to the back wall, right? I don’t know the cabinet dimensions with 100% certainty, but I fear the cabinet might be a real 37cm (14.6 inches) deep and the ventilation unit 38cm (15 inches) deep, which of course would not be practical.
What are the standard depths of wall cabinets otherwise?

Best regards,

André

P.S.: Can anyone recommend a model (60cm (24 inches) dishwasher) that will definitely fit in Metod?

There is a thread here where specific models are mentioned (I believe it is about dishwasher fronts).

Other upper cabinets are generally less deep.
