Hello everyone!

We are about to make the final decision on our exterior paint color and I would appreciate your inspiration. Ideally with the exact color code in your color system.

We have experimented with various online color visualizers. We like shades in the range of sand / greige / taupe, leaning towards the lighter side.
The front door will be dark gray (iron mica), and the windows are, as usual, white.
I don’t want a completely white facade because then the windows would have too little contrast.

Feel free to share other ideas or suggestions as well; they don’t necessarily have to be along the lines I mentioned. =)

Let’s just say: you have to be able to handle colorful houses.
Let’s put it this way: the zoning plan has to approve it. In our area, only white and gray tones are allowed.

OK, here is the requested photo.
Is that combined with forest green? I have seen that several times as well.

Many holiday villages use bright colors. Or Swedish-style houses: I like every shade on wood for those. Less so for plaster.

I would accentuate it with anthracite to enhance the sage color.

Black is my favorite color. But it's already too late; the general contractor brought the missing bucket yesterday.

How terrible.
I am always glad that we don’t have something like that here.

In our previous neighborhood, a developer built half of the new housing estate. All detached single-family homes were painted yellow, similar to the one owned by @HeimatBauer. The semi-detached houses were apricot with green shutters. Houses painted white were clearly in the minority.

After 10 years, some homeowners began repainting, and several of the colored houses were changed to white because the owners said they had grown tired of the color and preferred something more neutral.

I would have expected that, and possibly the windows to be tinted or foiled in the house color.

In the thread "Show Us Your Facade Colors," I was expecting more pictures.

Exterior view of a single-family house with a white facade, red roof, and green hedge.

For me, there are several factors that matter when it comes to house painting.
Our house was white with brown door and window frames.
Where we made changes, especially to the brown frames, we painted them white, and I realized how convenient it is to have paint easily and quickly available.
Painting the entire house is too expensive for us at the moment.
Personally, I would like a light orange color.
I always call it "Peach Blossom," as Goethe did, and he said it was THE color that everyone would find beautiful.
Whether that’s really true, I don’t know, but my wife thinks the insects will probably like it a lot too. 🙄

Of course, it also matters how the houses in the neighborhood look—and especially what the immediate neighbors have chosen.

Then it becomes interesting whether you’re a cautious person who wants to blend in with the surroundings, or more of a bold character who’s willing to stand their ground, even if it causes some conflict.

If someone wants to stand out, there’s a difference between doing it against the neighbors or with their approval.

Also, “just don’t stand out” is a perfectly valid choice in my opinion.

What I mean is: there’s no “objective” right or wrong here.

Sometimes it would be nice to add a bit of liveliness to the street; other times, that might mainly cause disagreement.
As diverse as the people living somewhere.

Our red front canopy (made from a truck tarp) is a bit "too loud" for me, but there was no material available in what I would consider a better color.
Around here, almost all the houses are white, and I think a little color wouldn’t be bad—in fact, I’d say it would be good.

We’re lucky that almost everyone around us is nice.
When we have the money and scaffolding, I could imagine choosing a “pleasant” color, but it should lift the good mood rather than spoil it 🙂
