Hello everyone!
We are about to make the final decision on our exterior paint color and I would appreciate your inspiration. Ideally with the exact color code in your color system.
We have experimented with various online color visualizers. We like shades in the range of sand / greige / taupe, leaning towards the lighter side.
The front door will be dark gray (iron mica), and the windows are, as usual, white.
I don’t want a completely white facade because then the windows would have too little contrast.
Feel free to share other ideas or suggestions as well; they don’t necessarily have to be along the lines I mentioned. =)

Part of me is still considering a subtle shade of green. The other part really wants something neutral because I’m afraid people might get tired of a color over time – as has been mentioned here several times already.
With brick, it was easier; it’s simply timeless and beautiful.

Buchsbaum16 Jul 2023 12:27I bought the shutters secondhand in Balingen, so the color was already set. I didn’t want to repaint them because they are powder-coated aluminum shutters.
Originally, I also wanted a white roof truss, but that color doesn’t last nearly as long. The color I chose has now been on the roof truss for 14 years without any issues.
It lasts forever, even on the weather-exposed side.

Why not just use facing bricks again? It was too expensive and complicated for us here in the southwest. Our general contractor said he would have to bring in specialists from the north who know how to do it. Also, the entire wall construction is different in this house. I prefer if the contractor can build it the way he’s used to.Similar topics
