Hello everyone,
We are currently in the process of selecting kitchen appliances (140cm (55 inches) refrigerator with freezer compartment; 60cm (24 inches) fully integrated dishwasher; induction cooktop).
My kitchen specialist recommended Miele. He said that in terms of price, Miele, Siemens, and Bosch are similar in the higher price range for comparable products. I had always thought that Miele was more expensive...
Is it true that these brands don’t differ much in price when offering similar features?
How did you choose your appliances, and where can you find reliable comparison tests?
Best regards

Hi,
Bosch and Siemens actually come from the same company; they are technically identical and only differ in the design of the fronts. Otherwise, they are the same appliances. Neff is now also part of BSH, but since they were acquired later, many of their appliances remain quite independent. For example, they offer ovens with a retractable door, which apparently no one else has.
BSH appliances are usually available for about 50% of the recommended retail price (RRP), sometimes even less, so in the end, they are probably cheaper than Miele products.
As a big self-confessed gadget lover, I chose the IQ700 series from Siemens; there are so many nice extra features on them. 🙂
Go to a kitchen showroom and check out different appliances. The BSH group also has dedicated kitchen studios where they only showcase their products. That’s the best way to see the appearance and operation of the appliances.
You can still prepare a delicious meal with simpler appliances. Now you just have to decide what matters most to you.
Best regards,
Andreas

How did you choose your equipment, and where is the best place to find reliable comparison tests? In my opinion, reliable comparison tests can still best be found at Stiftung Warentest. If I remember correctly, I selected my equipment through Shop<.>moebelplus<.>de. They have excellent filters in their shop. Where you buy from is up to you.
