Hello everyone!

I’m a bit frustrated right now and hope you can help me.

A few weeks ago, I installed my Faktum fitted kitchen; part of this is an Ikea Hjälpsam dishwasher made by ELECTROLUX.

Earlier today, I thought it would be a good idea to clean a soap dispenser in the dishwasher.

After about 20 minutes, when I happened to enter the kitchen again, I was faced with a huge foam mess. The (actually small amount of) remaining soap in the dispenser had expanded into an enormous foam mountain coming out of the dishwasher.

After I panicked and turned off the water supply, and carefully cleaned the foam out of the kitchen, I wanted to drain the remaining foam from the machine by running it empty.

What surprised me at first: The drain pump kept running continuously, even with the main power switch turned off. Also, the selected programs are canceled after a short time.

A look in the manual and a brief internet search revealed: The Aqua Stop safety system was triggered due to the water and foam leakage; this is why the drain pump runs nonstop.

Now that the cause has been eliminated, the machine is still stuck in “Aqua Stop” mode.

How can I reset this? I’d rather not call customer service, wait forever, and have to spend a fortune.

Can anyone help?

Best regards and many thanks,

Matthias

I also have an issue with the Hjälpsam dishwasher. One day, it suddenly stopped working after the well-known "three beeps" and only started draining, even though no foam or washing cycle had occurred.

Following the suggestions here (thanks ), I emptied the sump pan and ran two dishwasher cleaning cycles. It worked fine for two wash cycles, but then the sump pan filled up again—usually after the machine had been idle for a while. The timing varies unpredictably during the program, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after 50 minutes.

The water drains through two thin black hoses into the sump pan, but I can’t determine where these hoses come from, at least not without fully pulling out the machine and removing the side panels.

Since the dishwasher is still under warranty, I prefer not to remove any covers except for the sump pan plate.

What could be causing this problem?

If there is still a warranty: stay away and call customer service.

And then post the answer here for those who no longer have a warranty.

So, the Electrolux service technician was just here.
The following kit was installed: "GLOBAL HYDRAULICS: PRESSURE SENSOR MODIFICATION" with the part number 405 534 606/0.

However, only the air trap "a" and the seal "c1" (two out of five parts) were installed.
I was allowed to keep the rest.

I’m curious if it will help—I still have 3 1/2 years of warranty left.
The fault is apparently well known.

So, did it actually help? I have the same problem you had back then! Can you tell me if both parts were installed from the outside, or did the dishwasher have to be removed?
