Hello everyone, I recently purchased the Ikea Brimnes bedroom furniture set and am specifically wondering: How long is the warranty on Ikea Brimnes furniture? I would like to know if there is a uniform warranty period that applies to all Brimnes pieces (such as the bed, dresser, wardrobes), or if the warranty length varies depending on the item. Additionally, I am interested in what exactly the warranty covers and if there is anything special I need to keep in mind to make a claim. Thanks in advance for your tips and experiences!

Just to add: The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by incorrect assembly. So be careful when putting it together – this usually does not count as a manufacturing defect.

Great topic! I love my Brimnes furniture 😊 I bought the bed two years ago and am completely satisfied. The warranty really is 10 years, and I checked: if something goes wrong, Ikea usually provides replacement parts quickly and hassle-free. So don’t worry if something breaks, they won’t leave you hanging! Enjoy your piece of furniture!

I would like to emphasize again that it is important to keep purchase receipts safe, as these are generally required for warranty claims.

It is also worthwhile to carefully check before making a complaint whether a defect is due to normal use or a manufacturing fault. If this is unclear, you can ask customer service or a staff member at the store before wasting unnecessary time on a warranty case.

Additionally: The warranty applies exclusively to Ikea customers and only if the furniture was purchased in Germany. For example, those who order through third parties or buy second-hand have no warranty claim.

Ikea only covers material and manufacturing defects.

That is very helpful advice, thank you! I will be more careful during assembly accordingly.

Yes, I will definitely do that – especially with more expensive furniture, it’s important to keep track of them.

I now feel much better informed and believe that the 10-year warranty on Ikea Brimnes furniture is indeed reliable, as long as the conditions are met. Many thanks to everyone for the many contributions and lively discussion!
