I wouldn’t separate that as a separate room. It’s annoying to squeeze into a 2x2-meter (6.5x6.5 feet) space that also has cabinets in it. I would remove the entire wall, maybe move the door to the garage a bit further down, and then place a nice large wardrobe on the wall next to the garage.

We currently have it as you described, and we don’t like it. The entrance always looks messy. For this reason, we want a completely separate room to house the wardrobe. We won’t install cabinets but will use the shelving system from Regalraum here as well.

I would still plan to include a window there; it's better than having a dark, windowless room.

A mess behind a door is still a mess. While the Zalando delivery person might admire your stylish, clean entrance, for everyone with access, the chaos behind the door remains the same. Instead of just adding a door, I would consider implementing a tidiness-focused allowance system.
Shelves alone do not create any order; the users have to take responsibility for it.

As promised, here is a brief update. Construction started in November. The basement was completed by Christmas. Since there has been no winter weather so far, work was able to continue immediately.
Concrete basement foundation in excavation pit, steel reinforcement protruding above walls, construction site with ladder.

Construction site with walls built from aerated concrete blocks, wooden ramp to the foundation, soil.

Construction site with scaffolding around a house; crane over the building; excavation and building materials.

Excavation pit with freshly poured concrete slab and reinforcement at the edge.

Oh, a bare concrete slab for @kaho674

By the way, I’m curious to know where you ended up cost-wise in the end. I can’t imagine that the whole thing can be done for less than 45x,xxx without additional construction costs / external landscaping / etc.

The house with garage according to the scope of work, excluding additional construction costs and before the final selection of materials, was around 400.
