Hello,
we are planning to build a single-family house with a basement and a double garage this year.
The garage will be half a meter longer. Therefore, the cloakroom will also be 0.5m (1.6 feet) longer than shown here.
What do you think of the design?

The French door was a special request from my wife. Even with good workmanship, a door with a rabbeted edge will always be slightly less rigid than one fitted in a frame, so it will vibrate just a little more. The main reason was the appearance again. We planned it both with and without, and we like it better this way. If things go wrong, the roller shutter will just stay down all the time.

It’s quite frustrating to squeeze into a 2x2 meter (6.5x6.5 feet) space that also has cabinets in it. I would remove the wall entirely, maybe move the door to the garage slightly down, and then place a nicely sized cloakroom along the wall to the garage.
