Hello dear forum,
We moved into our property about 2 years ago and now need a door for our converted attic.
The problem is that the opening is only 60 cm (24 inches) wide, and we have no ideas on how to make it wide enough to comfortably pass through. I am open to creative suggestions.
Many thanks in advance!

Alternative: build a drywall partition parallel to the existing wall, which then leaves space for a standard door.
But a heavy fabric curtain, as mentioned before, is a good substitute (we used one for years as a temporary solution in the "fireplace room")... it helps quite a bit. We had a lead weight sewn into the hem at the bottom so that it would hang nicely on the floor.
