Hello
We are planning to buy a kitchen from IKEA in the next few months. I was advised at IKEA to wait because a new kitchen range will be released in summer. This was also confirmed here in the forum. However, we don’t like the new "Metod" model at all, especially since most of it is not compatible with Faktum.
Now we have the option to wait for the Faktum model to be discounted and then buy it, hoping everything will still be available, or to drive to the Netherlands (about 120 meters (75 miles)) and buy the kitchen there instead for €3,200 compared to €4,700 in Germany. I relied on the kitchen planner tools and price lists from both Germany and the Netherlands.
To what extent is it possible to order the kitchen in the Netherlands and pick it up there? What about the warranty?

Are you sure it’s that cheap in the Netherlands? It might be because the "cheese eaters" are currently running a promotion since METOD is launching there in February.

IKEA-Experte6 Jan 2014 16:23Carcass units are cheaper in the Netherlands, ABSTRAKT fronts are significantly less expensive there, while APPLAD is somewhat cheaper in Germany than in the Netherlands. You need to compare carefully.
