Hello!

I seem to be too clueless to use this new trap correctly... it’s supposed to have connections for both a dishwasher AND a washing machine... but I only see one connection, which is also quite inconvenient because it’s mounted vertically at the top. Can anyone help me out here?
😕

Edit
There is only one, unbelievable. The Atlant had two. Who on earth designed this thing, and why did they have to replace the old ATLANT in the first place?!!

I’ve already searched half the internet looking for a suitable cut-to-length standpipe with two drain connections, but no luck. IKEA has its own dimensions, and for that reason no other trap fits either. There are also no flexible Y-connectors available.

How does IKEA now plan to enable its customers to connect both dishwasher and washing machine simultaneously like before?

Hello,

I’m afraid you can only connect one appliance. The catalog mentions a "connection" for a dishwasher and a washing machine – unfortunately not connections. If you install the Lillviken for two basins, you can also install a second drain hose.

Sorry, but it’s unacceptable that this company forces its customers to buy something completely unnecessary, which takes up extra space and costs a full 15 euros more (ATLANT used to cost 10 euros), just to have the same functionality as before! Or 10 euros more than the single basin version?!

That is frankly bold and outrageous! They are shamelessly taking advantage of the fact that people have no choice!
A case for a wave of outrage...

I will solve the problem with a short piece of drain hose, a Y-connector, and hose clamps.
Even though there is such a solution, it is either stupidity or sheer nerve on IKEA’s part. Really an imposition!

I only mentioned that the trap for two basins also has a second hose connection – of course, installing a double trap for a single basin doesn’t make sense. There might be the option to install a different trap below the strainer basket.

No, unfortunately not. IKEA has its own dimensions, and the standard diameters are incompatible. That’s exactly what bothers me.
