Today we wanted to connect the Rengöra dishwasher, but the appliance stubbornly remains closed and absolutely won't open.
I received the device from IKEA, and there isn’t supposed to be a transport lock or anything like that, right?
I also already tried plugging it in, thinking maybe the door only opens when it has power, but that didn’t help.
Calling IKEA customer service didn’t get me any further either; they advised me to contact the manufacturer (Electrolux) on Monday.
Has anyone else experienced the same problem?
I don’t want to force the door open—it can’t be normal...
Kind regards,
Schnaggebagge

...sometimes you have to do it yourself – I ended up using brute force and pulled the door with all my strength – and lo and behold – it opened. But it can’t be normal that the door is so incredibly hard to open and that it immediately springs back up again – I guess I’ll have to put a sandbag on the open flap every time I load and unload...

IKEA-Experte7 Nov 2015 22:52Hello, the front is the sandbag. Once it is installed, the door should no longer spring open.
