As we are currently building, I am in the process of planning the kitchen. Since the Metod kitchen system was introduced in Germany on June 2, 2014, I am now trying to adapt my design to Metod. I have the following problem:
In my original Faktum plan, I had planned a so-called kitchen island1 (on one side 3 base cabinets 60cm (24 inches) wide and standard height, and opposite that 3 base cabinets 60cm (24 inches) wide, 92cm (36 inches) high and 37cm (15 inches) deep) to create a counter. In the Metod online planner, I can’t find a comparable kitchen island or any separate base cabinets measuring 92x60x37cm (36x24x15 inches)... 🙄
Or have I simply not found the cabinets yet? I would appreciate any help.

The basic element is sturdy: 18 mm (0.7 inches) thick.
The melamine-coated surface is moisture-resistant, scratch-resistant, and easy to maintain.
Includes a 25-year warranty. More information can be found in the warranty brochure.
The mounting method depends on the wall material. Please use screws and anchors suitable for the wall type (sold separately).
Utrusta fittings are a good addition for optimal use of space.
VARIERA cabinet organizers are also a good choice for maximizing space efficiency.
Care instructions
Wipe with a dry cloth.
Clean with a soft, damp cloth (water and mild dish soap or soapy solution).

Hinges are sold separately.

Depth without hanging rail: 36.6 cm (14.4 inches)
Depth with hanging rail: 37.6 cm (14.8 inches)

So we went back to our trusted Ikea yesterday. It seems like the 92cm (36 inches) tall wall cabinets are no longer available. We have now decided to go with the raised countertop with the angled legs. We actually like it even more.
