Hello,
Are you experiencing as many problems finishing your kitchen as I am?
For weeks now, I have Metod cabinets without knobs, handles, and fronts in my kitchen. None of these are available for delivery.
Specifically, I am missing Bodbyn fronts, both drawers and display cabinet doors, as well as Faglavik handles.
They are not available online or at any furniture store nearby, and this has been the case since Metod was launched at the beginning of June.
Regards

That is of course frustrating. It really must be due to the fronts and handles. I have had 349 individual parts in my garage for two weeks now – the delivery from the online shop arrived in less than two weeks and was complete, even though given the number of parts, I was worried the whole delivery might be delayed because of a small item not being available. However, Veddinge fronts and Blankett handles seem to be standard items....

schrauber_656429 Jul 2014 13:05Hello,
I’m facing the same issues. I wanted to replace my old Ikea kitchen with the new Metod kitchen in Bodbyn gray and am having huge difficulties getting the fronts and Faglavik chrome handles. Fortunately, I haven’t dismantled the old cabinets yet, and it looks like I won’t remove a cabinet until I can order/purchase the new one almost completely. According to Ikea, there are delivery problems that will be resolved, but nobody could give a specific timeframe.
I live near the Swiss border, and oddly, the fronts are available for order in Switzerland, although they are not in stock in the stores there either. I have now ordered the drawer fronts from the Ikea near me in Switzerland and am having them delivered directly to my workplace in Switzerland. But until I have them in my hands, I’m not convinced! I really hope it works out!

We are in the same situation. Our kitchen was delivered two weeks ago. During assembly, we discovered that five cabinet fronts and fronts for the drawers were missing.
We called Ikea, and they confirmed that these parts would be delivered later.
After waiting for a week, the fronts still have not arrived. After calling Ikea again, we were told there are delivery difficulties and the replacement parts will likely not arrive until February 2015.
That means a wait of four months!!!
This is really unbelievable! Why does Ikea sell kitchens when they clearly know they cannot deliver them completely? If I hadn’t already sold my old kitchen, I would want to have it taken back.
You pay a lot of money for a kitchen and end up with four months of frustration every time you see it.
In our case, it is also the BODBYN fronts.

Hello,
our Bodbyn Ivory kitchen is now almost complete.
At least we have received all the fronts (drawers).
In some cases, only repeated inquiries at the furniture store helped.
Some fronts were not available, BUT at least it was possible to order them for home delivery via DHL from the central warehouse.
There is a shipping cost, but it’s better than having open cabinets )
IKEA seems to have been completely overwhelmed by the number of kitchens ordered.
What we are still missing are the Förbättra cover panels in Ivory.
Best regards

IKEA-Experte10 Oct 2014 17:15Before I would go months without any drawer fronts, I would buy the cheapest available ones and, once the others are back in stock, use the new return policy to send back the temporary fronts.
If everyone did this, the overall problems would definitely get worse, but in that case, I would still be selfish.
I wonder how such problems can occur despite the gradual introduction of METOD. Or is that maybe exactly the reason? The manufacturers have to produce fronts for both METOD and Faktum.
