pipapo73Hello everyone,
I have a question for you. It’s about the Faktum kitchen base cabinets that are 80cm (31½ inches) wide, designed for sinks or pull-outs (FA162 or FA141).
These base cabinets have three front panels installed – from top to bottom: one fixed panel 13cm (5 inches) high; two lower panels 26cm (10 inches) and 31cm (12 inches) high respectively (a total of 57cm (22½ inches)) mounted on the pull-out.
As shown in the catalog, the two lower fronts form a combined front panel attached to the lower pull-out (for example, for a waste separation system or beverage crates). Inside the cabinet, there is another inner pull-out that can only be opened after the lower pull-out with the fronts has been opened.
But how are the two lower front panels connected so they can be opened together as one large front? Do you have to make this yourself and get fittings from a hardware store? Is there a stable connecting set available that is not listed anywhere in the catalog? Could you maybe share a photo of how you solved this?
Thanks very much for your information and best regards,
Uwe

Maverick18544 Dec 2009 15:44Hello Uwe,
You can get those at IKEA. It’s a corrugated panel with a rib in the middle. When you go to IKEA, contact customer service and ask for the connector plates for fronts on a pull-out pantry unit. They should know what you mean, at least I think so.

Maverick18545 Dec 2009 22:27Hello Maverick,
thanks for the information. But this part is not included in the catalog or the purchasing guides, right?
I will ask about it during my next visit.
Regards,
UweNo, only in the assembly instructions for the medicine cabinet. Those are with the interior panels.
