Hello,
Since I am about to start building my house and am already thinking about the bathroom but have no clear idea yet, I’m opening this thread.
Please feel free to share how you have built your bathrooms and what they look like. Maybe I can pick up some ideas!

I’ve thought about what bothers me for a while, and it’s not even the many corners. I think I would find it much calmer if the very contrasting floor tiles hadn’t been used again for the countertop surfaces.

I really like the vanity and especially the faucet. And even though it’s not my style, overall it has become a coherent and certainly cozy bathroom.

I have to say, on my favorite channel HGTV, I’m always surprised when they use tiles in renovations that are similar to your “colorful” ones. You know, those stars and similar patterns. When I see them shown like that, I keep thinking I would never do that. Somehow, it seems a bit tacky to me. But in the final result, I’m usually surprised at how harmonious it looks. The same goes for your accents. Individually, not so much at first glance, but overall it looks very stylish.

I don’t find them at all tacky. They have their own style, which fits very well with Oriental designs but also with modern country house styles—nowadays also incorporating industrial style. A nice contrast to austerity. When I built, there were only the very expensive concrete tiles; otherwise, I would probably have an Oriental guest bathroom now.

Update: We have now moved in and the water mostly stays in the shower. We usually shower there together.
So, it does splash about 30cm (12 inches) in front of the entrance, but there are tiles and a bath mat there. With controlled mechanical ventilation and exhaust air, the humidity disappeared quickly — we tested by deliberately NOT opening the window and were quite impressed by how fast it worked.

Somewhere in another bathroom thread, I’ve already shared my bathroom. But this fits nicely here as well – as an example of a colorful bathroom. So far, I’ve mostly seen beige, gray, brown, and black. I haven’t seen much orange, red, or purple yet. I assume you haven’t either;

Et voilà, here is the piece that I will have sold by the end of November. In reality, the tiles are square, measuring 10cm by 10cm (4 inches by 4 inches).

Bathroom with glass shower, orange-red tiles, white washbasin, window and mirror.

Amazing.
Very beautiful, lovingly designed bathrooms.

I am currently trying to create nice bathrooms despite our not-so-great general contractor.

To get into the topic and if you don’t mind, I have a few questions:
1. What type of fixtures are those?
2. What tiles are used in the small bathroom?
3. What kind of bathtub is that?
4. What kind of washbasin is that? Is the countertop custom-made?

THANK YOU!
