Hello,
Since I am about to start building my house and am already thinking about the bathroom but have no clear idea yet, I’m opening this thread.
Please feel free to share how you have built your bathrooms and what they look like. Maybe I can pick up some ideas!

Maybe I need to modify it a bit.Try searching for spray-on coating, it should work.Copied here from my own thread. We are actually very satisfied with the bathroom. Unfortunately, the plant wall has not yet grown in fully — I had hoped it would fill out faster. The white base cabinet is still missing; it will be installed offset to the right under the oak countertop. I would have liked a new bathtub as well — mainly for aesthetic reasons — but we had to tighten the budget and ended up keeping the original one from the previous owner.

What are some typical experiences or best practices for creating green walls, and how long does the cultivation usually take? I also find them really beautiful in stairwells!
So, this is just a relatively simple DIY plant wall – nothing too fancy. I roughly described the setup in the thread "Farmhouse Renovation – on a Budget." I can’t provide a definitive experience yet; it’s still too early for that.
Initial impressions are:
1. I would never want to install something like this without automatic irrigation – I would have to water it manually at least every 2 days because the small pockets dry out quickly. And with the narrow openings, as a rather impatient and clumsy person, it would surely end in a huge mess. The common models available for purchase all come with automatic irrigation anyway.
2. Without a concrete guide, it’s really a rough trial-and-error to figure out what the plants prefer. Currently, we water every 2 days for 6 minutes each time – thoroughly. Thanks to the felt pockets, the plants don’t dry out in between. I hope, though, that it’s not too much water. Our spider plants didn’t survive. Unfortunately, I don’t know why. We thought it might have been overwatering, so we switched from daily watering to every 2 days. That, in turn, killed another plant. We have now replaced it with others and are waiting to see. Some plants have already grown very well and might need trimming soon, while others unfortunately remain the same. I would like the fern to produce strong new shoots, but so far it doesn’t seem to want to. I should mention that I don’t really have a green thumb. So if it works for me, anyone else should be able to do it too.
I think I’ll be able to report more after about six months.
Thank you for the compliments. I wanted a “cave feeling” – dark gray/black with warm wood and lots of greenery. Accompanied by fitting jungle music. But you have to like the dark look. I think opinions on this are quite divided.

I think I’ll be able to share more in about six months.I was able to open it now... I believe a climbing plant with attractive leaves, planted at the bottom of the container and guided upward along wires, works just as well and is less demanding in terms of maintenance.
