Hello,
Since I am about to start building my house and am already thinking about the bathroom but have no clear idea yet, I’m opening this thread.
Please feel free to share how you have built your bathrooms and what they look like. Maybe I can pick up some ideas!

A bathroom combined with a sauna looks great.
As a suggestion: if the toilet paper holder, spare roll, and toilet brush can be integrated into a concealed wall-mounted toilet system, the bathroom usually looks even more exclusive. That looks stylish... it could have worked well in our home too (there are probably versions in stainless steel or similar).
Well... we skipped that because we weren’t familiar with it.
How expensive is something like this?

My first experience with the glass shower wall and the water softener system:
You still get some spots, but not as many.
AND! Just quickly wipe the glass wall with a floor squeegee, rinse, and squeegee off – done. Perfectly clean. For the sink and fixtures, a damp microfiber cloth is enough, although using bathroom cleaner makes the water bead off much better.
I’m quite satisfied with our budget solution. The large-format tiles did cost a bit extra, but since we bought and installed the sanitary fixtures ourselves, it balanced out almost exactly with the general contractor’s credit.

daniels878 Jan 2017 12:57We discussed several options, but none were ideal. Either the floor tiles would have been short by a 3 cm (1.2 inches) strip on the other side, or the grout line in the shower would have been too close to the edge. The tiles in the shower are also a different size, since the larger ones were not slip-resistant. There was no perfect solution.
