Hello,
we are new here and have read quite a bit about the above-mentioned issue.
Our kitchen is almost finished; only the dishwasher front panel problem remains to be solved. We have a Siemens SN66M088EU (fully integrated), which means a dishwasher height of 81.5 cm (32 inches). To reach the required height, we placed a 4 cm (1.6 inches) thick board under the appliance.
We have read that a BEHJÄLPLIG is needed to install the front panel. In another post, it was mentioned that the installation of the BEHJÄLPLIG must follow the Siemens instructions. Is this correct, or can we follow the IKEA instructions instead?
We would be very grateful for any help.
Thanks in advance.

Hello IKEA expert,
It almost worked. We were able to easily attach the two brackets for the guide (item: 128750, IKEA) to the dishwasher. Opened the flap and marked the height. For us, this was setting B (125mm (5 inches)). Placed the template on B and attached the brackets to the cabinet (right and left). The front panel was then slid onto the metal rails after mounting them.
And here is the problem: the front panel is not level (not vertically plumb). At the top, the front panel is set further inward, even though the dishwasher itself is perfectly aligned. Additionally, the handle can no longer be screwed on because the metal rails are positioned too high at the top (handle blank, 595mm (23.4 inches)).
Hope this doesn’t sound too complicated—we are running out of ideas.

IKEA-Experte22 Jan 2015 00:06Hello,
it’s difficult without seeing it directly.
Are the 13mm (0.5 inches) measurements correct? Was the door fully closed when you measured?
If that’s fine, I would probably try to adjust the dishwasher height at the rear to align it properly with the front.
The base panel is often problematic. Most likely, it will have to be trimmed to fit.
